Archiving the Call Log
Regular
maintenance of the NEC UX-Softphone should include archiving of the Call
Log. This operation is beneficial for reducing the number of call records
displayed within the application, and therefore, improving access when searching
for individual records. The archival process also provides a method of backing
up the call history and storing the records off-line for future access.
The archive
operation saves the call history to a file using Comma Separated Values (CSV)
format. This format can be viewed using a standard text editor or easily
imported into a database or spreadsheet program. During the archive operation,
the user can specify if the recorded files are to be saved or deleted. If the
recorded files are saved, they will be compressed into a zip file, with the
same file name as the archived call records.
